아들보다 하루만 더 살게 하소서

옷 갈아 입을 줄도 모르고

샤워할 줄도 모르며

언제나 아이같은 내 아들 돌볼 수 있도록

딸보다 하루만 더 건강하게 하소서

배고파도 사먹지 못하고

아파도 약 먹을 줄도 모르며

언제나 아기같은 내 달 지킬 수 있도록

Let me live just one day longer than my son,
so I may care for him—
my child who does not know
how to change his clothes,
how to take a shower,
and who remains forever like a little boy
in my eyes.
Let me stay healthy just one day longer than my daughter,
so I may protect her—
my child who cannot buy food even when hungry,
who does not know how to take medicine when she is ill,
and who remains forever like a baby
in my heart.
